Do You Need a Geriatric Care Manager on Your Team?

Holiday visits sometimes lead to the growing realization that parents or grandparents could benefit from extra support in planning for care needs.

We regularly encourage clients to consult with a geriatric care manager (GCM) to assist them with the non-legal aspects of planning for current or future care needs.

GCMs can help seniors maintain independence, accompany elders to appointments, implement needed assistance, and make tailored recommendations.  They are especially valuable in instances where family members live far away from the elder needing extra support.GCMs can be an integral member of the team of advisers that elders and their family members should call upon when an elder begins to need care or assistance.
