While the Mayan calendar is predicting the end of the world as of December 21st, 2012, many estate planning attorneys are actually more concerned about what may happen with the federal estate tax exemption (which is scheduled to drop to $1M from $5M as of 1/1/2013 if Congress doesn’t intervene before then.)
Then again, if the Mayans are right, it doesn’t really matter, does it?
